Plidco Flange
Read morePlidco® Flange+Repair Rings can be installed by your own personnel. There is no drilling or altering of flanges. On a scheduled turnaround the Plidco® Flange+Repair Ring can be reconditioned and used again. Give us your conditions — pressure, temperature, fluid — and we will recommend the proper sealant and packing. Standard packing is non-asbestos aramid fiber.
Plidco® Flange+Repair Rings incorporate patented steel GirderRings to hold packing in place during installation. Normally available from stock in standard flange sizes 1/2″ through 12″, ASME class 150 through class 600. Larger or special sizes, higher temperature and pressure ratings are available.
Maximum temperature rating for the standard Plidco® Flange+Repair Ring is 700°F. Standard material is ASTM A516 Gr. 70 Plate, ASTM A193 Gr. B7 bolting and ASTM A194 Gr. 2H nuts. Other materials are available for higher or lower temperatures. NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 compliant materials also available.

Standard working pressure is 1000 psig. Fittings are available in longer lengths such as 18″, 24″ and longer as well as higher working pressures such as 1500 psig or 2000 psig. If higher working pressures or longer length is needed, it can be designed and built to meet your requirements. Fittings are tested to 1.5 times the design pressure. Buna-N packing is standard. Viton, Silicone and other materials are available upon request.

Plidco Clamp + Sleeve
Read morePLIDCO® Clamp+Sleeve grips the outside wall of a pipe to counteract extraordinary end-pull and unusual axial stresses often encountered in off-shore installations. PLIDCO® Clamp+Sleeves provide exceptional holding power minimizing the danger of caving in damaged pipe. Patented steel GirderRings hold the packing securely in place during installation, assuring a gas tight, liquid tight seal. PLIDCO® Clamp+Sleeves are available in any size, length and working pressure. They can be designed for welding or non-welding applications. The sleeve can be reconditioned and used again if not welded. The Plidco® Clamp+Sleeve is designed to ASME code section Vlll and API 6H.

Plidco Sole + Mates
Read morePLIDCO® Sole+Mates™ are designed to reinforce non-leaking, weakened, dented or damaged pipelines. The PLIDCO® Sole+Mates™ must fit snugly around the pipe when used for reinforcement applications. Gaps between the pipe and the sleeve, often caused by dents in the pipe, should be filled with a hard-setting grout. The sleeve must be butt-welded longitudinally but it is not necessary to seal-weld the circumferential ends. The line can remain on-stream. Moisture should be prevented from entering the ends of the sleeve. When used for pressure containment, the PLIDCO® Sole+Mates™ must be fully seal-welded to the pipeline in addition to the longitudinal weld. The line may also remain on-stream but the pressure must be a safe level according to DOT regulation 192.713.
PLIDCO® Sole+Mates™ are fabricated in lengths of 5 or 10 feet. Back-up strips for the longitudinal butt welds are furnished with all sleeves.
PLIDCO® Sole+Mates™ conform to ASME B31.4 and B31.8 as well as US Department of Transportation (US DOT) requirements. Individual company codes and safety practices should be observed. US DOT requires that population density be considered in the installation area for natural and other gas pipelines (DOT section 192.5). Tables showing maximum operating pressure for PLIDCO® Sole+Mates™ by size, materials of construction and class location are shown on the reverse side.

Plidco Hot Tapping + Saddle
Read morePLIDCO® Hot Tapping+Saddles are designed to ASME code section VIII and API 6H to make branch connections on existing pipelines OR for plugging operations without welding. They are easily installed by simply tightening the side bolts. Patented steel GirderRings hold seals in place to protect from damage and displacement during installation. When conditions are favorable PLIDCO® Hot Tapping+Saddles can be permanently welded to the pipeline.
PLIDCO® Hot Tapping+Saddles when used for plugging operations are designed to include clamping areas to restrict movement of the fitting when setting the plug. Installation is quick; bolt it on, assemble tapping equipment, perform a hydrotest and proceed with the plugging operation. This product can be reclaimed, reconditioned and used again if it hasn’t been welded to the pipeline.
Branches are available in any range of sizes and pressures. Threaded, welded or flanged outlets are available.
Buna-N packing is standard.
Viton, Silicone and other packings are available upon request.

Plidco Riser Weld + Ends
Read moreThe Riser Weld+Ends® is socket-welded at the surface to the new replacement riser and lowered into the water. A diver cuts off the old riser, stabs the new fitting over the cut-off pipe, then tightens the clamping and thrust screws for a complete leak-proof seal without welding.
PLIDCO® Riser Weld+Ends® are designed to simplify the replacement of underwater risers on offshore oil and gas lines without welding underwater.
This fitting has additional clamping and thrust screws to provide a seal for high pressure and for resisting extreme end-pull.

Plidco Power + Grip
Read moreThe PLIDCO® Power+Grip is designed for safe, easy and reliable replacement of underwater risers, connection of off-shore systems, pipeline spool piece repair, pipeline reroutes and abandonments, structural repairs and valve or tee installations. The fitting requires no welding and there is minimal pipe end preparation for installation. The diver friendly PLIDCO® Power+Grip has a double row of packing with a test port between the rows to prove seal integrity before pressurizing the line. The fully mechanical PLIDCO® Power+Grip accepts external loading and offers a generous end gap adjustment of ½ the pipe diameter as well as oversized and undersized pipe tolerance. The integrated grips are designed for powerful structural attachment to the pipe. The seal and grip actuations work independently. The fitting is able to be removed, reconditioned by PLIDCO® and re-used. It is in compliance with ASME Section VIII Div. 1 and NACE options are available upon request.

Pipe not anchored: A joint in which the pipe ends could move when subjected to internal or external forces, such as internal pressure, temperature expansion and contraction, underwater currents, ground movement or any combination thereof. The assigned Plidco® Weld+Ends® Pipe Not Anchored rating (as listed in chart) considers only static force created by the internal pressure. It does not consider any additional external forces such as temperature expansion and contraction, underwater currents, ground movement or any combination thereof. These additional external forces must be determined by the customer. If any of these forces cannot be restrained by customer proven techniques, a Plidco® Clamp+Ring must be used.
Anchored pipe: A joint in which the pipe ends would not move when subjected to the types of forces listed under Pipe Not Anchored. The Plidco® Weld+Ends® Anchored Pipe rating is the maximum pressure at which the pipeline can be operated. It assumes that the pipeline is suitably anchored by welding, by the use of an appropriately rated Plidco® Clamp+Ring or by other customer proven techniques.
